Paskelbta popiežiaus Pranciškaus žinia šių metų Jaunimo dienai: „Palaiminti turintys vargdienio dvasią: jų yra dangaus karalystė“ (Mt 5,3).

Popiežius Pranciškus primena, kad šiemet sukanka jau 30 metų nuo Pasaulio jaunimo dienų tradicijos pradžios.

Skelbdamas palaiminimus, Jėzus mus kviečia eiti su juo meilės keliu, vieninteliu, keliu, vedančiu į amžinąjį gyvenimą. Tai nelengvas kelias, - rašo Popiežius jaunimui, - bet Viešpats mus stiprina savo malone ir niekada nepalieka mūsų vienų. Jėzaus palaiminimai atneša revoliucingą naujovę, atneša naują laimės modelį, kuris yra visiškai kitoks negu žiniasklaidos platinami šiandien dominuojantys modeliai. Supasaulėjusiai mąstysenai Dievo tapimas žmogumi, jo mirtis ant kryžiaus yra skandalingi dalykai. Tie, kuriuos Jėzus skelbia esant palaimintais, pagal šio pasaulio logiką yra silpnieji, „nevykėliai“. Šiandien aukščiau visko keliama sėkmė bet kokia kaina, patogus gyvenimas, valdžios siekimas, savęs įtvirtinimas kitų sąskaita. Jėzus mus ragina priimti jo siūlomą gyvenimą, kviečia eiti į tikrą džiaugsmą vedančiu keliu. Tai didis iššūkis. Jėzus ir savo mokinių kitados paklausė ar jie nori juo sekti, ar eis kitais keliais. Ir Simonas drąsiai atsakė: „Viešpatie, pas ką mes eisime? Tu turi amžinojo gyvenimo žodžius“ (Jn 6,68). Jei ir jūs sugebėsite atsakyti Viešpačiui „taip“, jis jūsų jaunystę padarys prasmingą ir vaisingą, - rašo Popiežius ir toliau savo žinioje komentuoją pirmąjį palaiminimą, kuris yra šių metų Jaunimo dienos tema.

Visų pirma, ką reiškia „palaiminti“? Palaiminti, reiškia laimingi. Jei sugebėsite įsiklausyti į tai, kas glūdi giliai jūsų širdyse, suprasite, kad jūs trokštate laimės ir tai padės jums nuplėšti kaukes nuo įvairių jus supančių pasiūlymų, kurie iš tiesų yra nieko neverti. Kai siekiame sėkmės, malonumų, kai egoistiškai norime turėti vis daugiau daiktų ir juos paverčiame stabais, gal ir pajuntame trumpą apsvaigimą, netikrą pasitenkinimą, bet iš tiesų mes pasidarome priklausomi, nepasotinami, norime vis daugiau ir daugiau. Liūdna matyti tokį „sotų“ jaunimą, kuris iš tiesų yra labai pažeidžiamas, - rašo popiežius Pranciškus.

Pirmasis palaiminimas, būsimosios Pasaulio jaunimo dienos tema, skelbia, kad yra lamingi tie, kurie turi vargdienio dvasią, nes jų yra dangaus karalystė. Kokia prasme neturtas gali būti palaiminimas? Visų pirma išsiaiškinkime ką reiškia „turintys neturto dvasią“. Šventasis Tėvas primena jaunimui, kad neturtą ir nusižeminimą mes visų pirma matome žmogumi tapusiame Dievo Sūnuje. Jėzus išsižadėjo savo šlovės. Šį slėpinį mes kontempliuojame Betliejaus ėdžiose ir galiausiai ant kryžiaus, kur nusižeminimas pasiekė savo viršūnę.

Toliau savo žinioje popiežius Pranciškus aiškina jaunimui ką daryti, kad tokia „vargdienio dvasia“ perkeistų mūsų gyvenimo stilių, kad darytų įtaką mūsų gyvenimui. Visų pirma, reikia stengtis nebūti priklausomiems nuo daiktų. Viešpats mus kviečia gyventi santūriai, nepasiduoti konsumizmui, tenkintis tuo kas būtina, mokytis atisakyti nereikalingų ir nenaudingų daiktų, kurie tik slegia. Reikia taip pat „atsiversti į vargšus“, tai yra rūpintis jais, būti dėmesingiems jų materialiniams ir dvasiniams poreikiams. Jums, jaunime, skirta užduotis grąžinti solidarumą į žmonių kultūros centrą, - rašo Šventasis Tėvas.
